Transitioning from the vintage western design of the salon, the Harris’ kitchen is the most modern room in the house. Featuring tall ceilings and expansive black cabinets, the room’s dark hardwood floors are illuminated against tall glass doors. A massive island made of Caesarstone anchors the room and utilizes pendant lighting to add interest and height.
A magician, a showman and, yes, as we know, even a musician, Harris is a man of many talents. Therefore, it is no surprise that the home features a full scale music room for entertaining and practicing. Beyond the elegant décor, Harris had the walls of the room lined with fabric to ensure the room’s sound quality. Our personal favorite is the blue lounger and how it naturally reflects the blue in the large canvas painting.
The parlor floor hall boasts southern comfort and charm with its simple design. The pillars, designed by Tom LaDuke, run the length of the staircase and add great height and visual appeal to the room. The white walls make the natural light bounce through this area and illuminate the rustic wood floors and classic chandelier.
Another room in the Harris home features a modern design. Again, we see stark white walls and large windows with accent pieces that continue to reflect the slate grey, blue and red used in other rooms of the home. The ultra-modern furniture from designer such as Room and Board, Powerll and Bonnell, and others, is an ideal match for this open and energetic space.
